A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few features, but it’s very easy to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just a click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will only have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the specific email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated without effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in the account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll notice a small-size sign conveniently situated directly next to each one. With just a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this feature through the context menu that will show up. In case any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
